The Jog-A-Thon is one of only two major fundraisers coordinated by the La Mariposa School Parent Teacher Association. The funds that are raised provide programs beyond our school’s budget, including:
- Art classes and physical education for every grade level
- 100% funding of all field trips, bus transportation costs, assemblies – as well as other special events like Earth Day, Talent Show, Red Ribbon Week, Ability Awareness Week & Tiger Olympics
- Library books and Maker Space equipment & supplies
- Student Groups such as Student Leadership, Camarillo Academic Olympics, Super Quiz team & Peer Buddies

Jog-A-Thon is January 29th:
We are excited that our rescheduled Jog-A-Thon is coming up later this month!
As a reminder, our goal for this year’s Jog-A-Thon is to raise $40,000 for our students. If each child raises $65.00, we can meet this goal. As this fundraiser sets the pace for the entire school year, please make collecting donations a priority – thank you to those of you who have already turned in your donations! These funds are used for a wide range of activities that benefit all students at La Mariposa. If we meet our goal, we will celebrate with a special surprise from our Principal, Mrs. Stepan.
By collecting donations, students will have an opportunity to earn grade, class and individual incentives.
Donations are due by Friday, January 31st in order to count towards prizes. Any donations received after this date will not count towards prizes. Please be sure that the student’s name(s) are entered accurately for any online donations to ensure that all donations are appropriately tracked.
Grade Incentive: The grade level with the highest percentage of student-raised donations wins a cookie party.
Class Incentive: The class in each grade level with the highest amount of donations raised wins a Free Recess!

REMINDER! Please register your student(s) on the PTA Website (if you haven’t done so already):

“Forms” tab). This is REQUIRED for your child(ren) to participate in the Jog-A-Thon. Unfortunately, if we do not
have a signed waiver for your child(ren), they will not be allowed to participate in the Jog-A-Thon events as it is
a PTA insurance requirement that each student have a signed waiver.
Jog-A-Thon t-shirts will be distributed January 27th to be worn during the Jog-A-Thon
and throughout the year for Spirit Wear Days!
Families are invited to attend the Jog-A-Thon – specifics will be shared by your student’s teacher.
