2025 Jog-A-Thon

We’re thrilled to announce that La Mariposa’s Annual Jog-A-Thon is back! This year’s theme is

ROARING THROUGH THE REEF, and we’re diving into fun activities leading up to the big day.

The Jog-A-Thon will take place at school on Friday, November 14th, and we welcome families to come cheer on our students. Grade-level jog times will be shared by your child’s teacher as the date approaches.

The Jog-A-Thon is one of only two major fundraisers coordinated by the La Mariposa School Parent Teacher Association. Funds raised help support programs beyond our school’s budget, including:

Grade-level enrichment funds for classrooms
Physical education for every grade level
Full funding for field trips, assemblies, and special events like Earth Day, Red Ribbon Week, and Ability Awareness Week
Library books and Maker Space equipment & supplies
Student groups such as Student Leadership, Camarillo Academic Olympics, Super Quiz Team, and Peer Buddies

Our fundraising goal is $40,000! If every student collects $65, we’ll exceed our goal and be able to support all of these programs—and more!

PTA is working on getting all the forms and items set up for the 2025-2026 school year. Please wait until 8/15 to update your information and fill out our forms.

The La Mariposa Parent Teacher Association (PTA) would like to welcome your family to our school and provide you with information that will help you and your student quickly become part of our school community.

Although we work very closely with PVSD, LMS school administration and teachers, the PTA is a separate group, and we must gather our own information. We use an amazing tool, the “PTA Membership Toolkit” to communicate with parents. Registering is FREE and your information will not be shared.

One account per family on the La Mariposa Membership Toolkit site will follow all your students’ ears at LMS. This website contains activity waivers, news, events, calendars, fundraising information, our web store, and tons more! This is the only place where you are able order Spirit Wear, event tickets, Yearbooks, and much more throughout the year. Creating an account is essential to being an active and informed parent. You will automatically receive the PTA Monthly Newsletter upon creating an account.

We are continuously updating our school year information, so keep checking back!

Our PTA works hard to keep our parents as informed and involved as possible. Please check the Membership Toolkit often for PTA information such as meetings, upcoming school events, and volunteer opportunities. This is where you can order Spirit Wear and Yearbooks, buy tickets to our awesome school fundraisers, update PTA/student/personal information, sign up to Volunteer, and a lot more. This is an extremely helpful tool and resource.

The PTA Membership Toolkit is the ONLY way the PTA can communicate with parents. PVSD/LMS does not share student information with the PTA. Yearbook Photo Submission:

The Yearbook staff will take photos all year long at events and in classrooms, but your photos are greatly appreciated! Between our Spirit Days, holidays, class parties, and so much more, there are plenty of photos to take! Please submit your photos within 5 days from the event to the email below:
